The Institut Luxembourgeois de Régulation (ILR) informed us that the Frequency Division has been equipped with a new billing system, which is also used for the bills of the amateur radio service. As a consequence the billing process, normally initiated in October, has been delayed. The bills for the renewal of the amateur radio licences with an expiration date of 31 December 2016 have been sent on 28 November 2016.
As a consequence of this delayed billing for the renewal of the amateur radio licences expiring on 31 December 2016, the ILR informs that the new licences probably won’t be issued before 31 December 2016. If this will be the case, the Institute grants exceptionally an extension of the validity of the current concerned licences until the reception of the new licence, assumed that the concerned amateur radio operator is able to proof the payment of the bill within the legally foreseen time limit with a debit note.
